Great food, cold drinks, great ambiance! Kevin and his staff run a great restaurant/bar. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by the hostess, it just felt right. We were seated right away and our server came by soon after.
Drinks were plentiful, try the hair of the hog beer! They have a full bar so everyone can order their favorite cocktail. I felt that they were reasonable.
The menu is better than I thought it would be. I can't help myself, I see Cuban sandwich and everything else seems to disappear! I had the Cuban. It was very good! My party of 4 had no complaints.
The bill was good. About $100 for 4 with drinks! We want this to be a regular stop on the rotation! -

TBBC is a great place to start a night in Ybor. The restaurant has locally brewed beer, full liquor bar, and a really decent menu. The staff are fantastic and they go out of their way to make sure you feel special.
On the edge of Ybor in a modern building it doesn't have the old Ybor feel - but don't let that turn you off. I've dined here a few times and always had fun. Order Johnnie's Cheese and Ale Dip - you get more than enough bread to eat the generous serving of awesome cheese dip. The hummus is tasty. While the baguette and citrus butter is nice - the butter has a strong orange zest flavor to it.
Not on the menu, but something they always seem to be able to make, get an order of fried pickles. One of my friends lives in Ybor and they are her favorite treat.
My friends and I last ate here before a show - and everyone came away really happy with the choice. It is rare that a restaurant can please our eclectic group -so give it a try and see if your gang likes it too! -

So we have ended up coming here the last 2 times to Tampa. And will probably be back! Super cool place with great food and beer. There is a big outdoor section and the inside. Its freaking Tampa so of course we sat inside!
We have had a ton of the food and all was good. The beer cheese soup stood out this last time. Service is great. Great place for a beer and meal! -

I was in Tampa for two and a half days, and managed to spend several hours on two different days here at TBBC. I'm a sucker for an outdoor bar, no matter the weather, and that's what drew me in! They have lots of beer on tap, and it was so easy to just tuck in for 4 or 5 pints and enjoy the people watching and weather. I didn't set out to find this place, it was just right in front of me when I hopped off the streetcar to explore. They also have ample indoor seating. My first visit was during the day and I didn't order any food. I returned the next night and spent a few hours drinking and watching the hockey game on their outdoor tv's. I decided to get food to go, and after checking Yelp and the Googles, I went with the wings (which were on DDD apparently), and the lobster mac & cheese...because wings and lobster mac scream healthy balanced meal, ammi right?? It took me about 15-20 minutes to get back to my hotel on the streetcar and the mac & cheese was still hot, but the wings weren't. They were good, and plentiful, but didn't pack the flavor punch I was expecting. The accompanying ranch was thick and delicious, probably homemade. The mac & cheese was the star, with tons of cheese sauce, tender noodles, and lobster in nearly every bite, which surprised me! I really wish I had tried the calamari, the fish & chips, or the cuban. All looked delicious. The staff was super friendly and attentive to boot! All in all an awesome experience, and I will definitely be back in the future.
PS...they stop serving food an hour before they close so keep that in mind if you're planning on drinking and ordering to go! -

Delicious American food and drink. We sat outside which is nice on one Tampa's cooler days. We started with the calamari appetizer which was absolutely delicious.. crispy breading and nice sweet/slightly spicy sauce. Because most of the menu looked amazing, we were having a hard time deciding, so we got a second appetizer (bread and cheese dip). This appetizer had slightly toasted Italian/sourdough bread slices which had just the right amount of crunchiness and chewiness and tasty cheese dip. I then got their blackened salmon and shrimp with grits. It was really good. All in all a great experience. Come here when you're hungry and not on a diet... you won't be disappointed! (There are salad choices if you are on a diet!)
